Rio de Janeiro– a tragic incident unfolded as a minibus, transporting tourists from a coastal journey, collided with a truck in Bahia’s northeastern state, resulting in the loss of at least 25 lives and leaving six individuals injured.
The fatal crash occurred overnight on a federal road connecting the cities of Nova Fatima and Gaviao in inland Bahia, as reported by the state’s local fire department outpost. The injured have been promptly transported to nearby hospitals. Bahia civil police revealed that the majority of the victims were aboard the minibus, and investigations into the accident’s cause are currently underway.
